Plastic Free Options For Storing Food

One of the single most important things that we can do as we strive to create a home filled with intention is to bring awareness to our storage space that has the ability to quickly dominate the majority of our household. Working to rid your life of single-use plastic is one major improvement that is best to begin in the kitchen. If you occasionally find yourself swimming in sandwich baggies, ziplocks, and tons of plastic carried home from the grocery store — it may be time for you to consider investing in smarter, safer options.

It seems simple enough, but plastic is not eco-friendly. Single use plastic has many negative impacts on your health and the environment. Environmental-friendly options are something I’ve always been cognizant of, but when I became pregnant with my first daughter- I just knew that I wanted to do everything I possibly could to prevent exposure to potential toxins in plastic especially toxins that are capable of seeping into my family’s food. My kitchen is the first area of my home where I started making substitutions, more specifically… I evaluated my food storage for better options.

I’ve included a few of my favorite food storage alternatives for you to shop here:
